Kim House
Shouson Hill, Hong Kong
Bespoke Family Home
Slotted in between two adjacent houses, this home is spread over five levels and is designed to integrate both horizontally and vertically. The central stair is of principal importance and has been treated as a feature invigorating each level with variation in materials between glass, steel and wood.
The palette of materials has been kept simple and is dominated by timber that is used for flooring, doors, cabinets and even on some ceilings. This creates a very warm ambience that adds life to the contemporary detailing.
